Paige Simpson, is a printmaker and designer. She enjoys all forms of making and design including: silkscreen, repeat patterns, quilting, mending, drawing, painting, clay, and garment construction. She draws her inspiration from everyday life, indoors and out. Finding gaps in the day-to-day and creating unique and often functional objects to fill them. In her practice she uses her refined but scrappy sensibility to unite seemingly contrasting materials, colors, or images. Making everything by hand in the tradition of skilled crafts people from her Southern New Hampshire childhood, and current home in Hudson, NY, Paige maintains a boundless interest in learning new techniques and materials. Whether it be graphic imagery, striking color or texture—her work asks to be touched.
