Paige Simpson, Printmaker, also enjoys jewelry making, bookbinding, quilting, mending, drawing, and painting. She draws her inspiration from uniting seemingly contrasted materials, colors, or images (i.e. metal and glitter) to explore the depth of social constructs that polarize basic objects via gender. Using a variety of creative processes to create hand work that honors the crafts people of her southern New Hampshire childhood, and her current home in Hudson, New York. Paige maintains a boundless interest in learning new techniques and processes, and whether it be graphic imagery, striking color, or unique texture--her work asks to be touched.
